Creating Community with Coffee, Books and . . . Cribbage!

Start the new year with a resolve to get to know your fellow Winnonans better. We’re hearing a lot of interest in groups and clubs, and we’re happy to help connect our neighbors with their interests.
Here’s the newest one: Cribbage! No, it’s not something having to do with sleeping quarters for babies. It’s a card game, and resident Jon Herman is interested in starting a neighborhood club that meets bi-weekly or monthly for a just-for-fun tournament. If there’s interest in a bi-weekly event, it could become associated with the American Cribbage Congress as a sanctioned event. Anyway, if there are any cribbage players out there who are interested in a neighborhood playing opportunity, reach out to Jon at jherman2@gsu.edu.
Coffee! Join Jane Carriere and her crew for monthly Coffee and Conversation gatherings. This is a very informal group with no agenda other than friendly community. Coffee and light bites will be available, no need to bring anything. Contact Jane at 404-372-7622 for the next date, time and location.
Books! The new WP Book Club is off to a great start, and there seems to be enough demand for a second neighborhood book club. If you’re interested please reach out to your WPNA social committee co-chairs Laura (laurabeeson@kw.com) and Arlene (arlene.cauthorn@gmail.com).
Movies, pool, bowling, craft beer — got an idea for another group that you would like to join or start? We’ll help you get the ball rolling.
